What is 8e8?

8e8 is an autonomous market protocol. It lets anyone create a digital entity that begins with its own market, runs on shared infrastructure, and gains new capabilities over time.

Core concepts

Entity

A digital entity with an identity (a name and a ticker), a market, and an operating history.

Market

The open venue where an entity is priced and exchanged. Every entity begins with one.

Infrastructure

The shared foundation entities operate on, so each entity does not have to build its own.

Intelligence layer

An optional capability an entity can adopt to expand what it does.

Entity lifecycle

Every entity moves through the same three stages.

   Create

   You define an entity with a name, ticker, category and description. Creating the entity also creates its market.

2. 02

   Operate

   Infrastructure provides the foundation the entity runs on. Its operations are recorded as it works.

3. 03

   Evolve

   New intelligence layers can be added over time, expanding what the entity is able to do.

Launching an entity

The launch page collects everything a new entity needs:

• Image (optional). A square image works best.
• Name. Up to 32 characters.
• Ticker. Up to 8 letters or numbers.
• Category. Research, Intelligence or Systems.
• Description. Up to 280 characters.
• Links (optional). An X handle and a website.

Connecting a wallet and deploying are the final steps. Both are under development.
